Intrepid Sea-Air-Space Museum

The Intrepid Sea-Air-Space Museum is the largest naval museum in the world. This is the converted form of World War II aircraft carrier. The Intrepid aircraft carrier(1943 to 1974) is a 40,000 ton and 900 foot-long. This museum has a unique collection of aircrafts from WWII to the present, Lockheed A-12 Blackbird. The USS Edson, most luxurious vessel at the Museum, and the USS Growler, only vital missile submarine are the two special warships at the museum. There you can also enjoy a motion-based thrill ride for just $5 extra. The visiting hours are from April to Sept, on Monday to Friday, 10am to 5pm, on Saturday to Sun, 10am to 6pm. And From October through March, on Wednesday to Sunday, 10am to 5pm. This museum is located at Pier 86, 46th Street(west) & 12th Avenue, Hudson, NY.

Metropolitan Museum of Art

The Metropolitan Museum of Art is the most leading attraction among museums. This museum exhibits a unique collection of arts including - Ancient Egyptian Vases, Roman Statues, Tiffany Stained Glass and Rembrandt Paintings. Special exhibitions are also organised to attract visitors. The Met Store is an amazing place to buy gifts, stationary, jewelry and other accessories. The tall columns and windows, enormous stairways and water fountains are the part of the museum. You can see a great collection of art from the stone age to the 20th century. The visiting hours are Sun-Thu, 9:30am-5:30pm; Fri-Sat, 9:30am-9pm and monday closed.

American Museum of Natural History

The American Museum of Natural History is the outstanding science and research institution of the world. The architecture of the museum is unique. There are four floors of gallery space. We can see a huge collection in any discipline, including biology, astronomy, ecology, anthropology, cultural,scientific and historical and much more.The new Rose Center for Earth and Space is seems to be a science fiction story. It has a huge planetarium theater. The theater is decorated from the sphere, models of stars, galaxies and planets hanging from the ceiling, to the gallery's floor. History of the Universe from the Big Bang till now, narrated by Jodi Foster, models of various stellar bodies related to the universe, an ecosystem inside a glass ball and some other space related sights can be viewed in the Rose Center.Visiting Hours are from 10am to 5:45pm, daily. The Rose Center remains open on Fri. until 8:45pm.
