Knott's Berry Farm

Knott's Berry Farm is located in Buena Park, California. This theme park was opened in 1968. It covers the area of 160 acres (0.65 km²) of land. It has 39 rides in total including 7 roller coasters and 3 water rides. "Knott's Berry Farm" is the oldest theme park in USA. The park is known for its gun fights, gold panning demonstrations, ghost town, Fiesta Village, The Boardwalk, Wild Water Wilderness and steam-train rides and much more. 'Knott's host' is the best and scariest Halloween Party of Southern California's, and is sponsored during the month of October.

Attractions of the park


Knott's Berry Farm has six distinct theme parks: Indian Trails, Wild Water Wilderness, The Boardwalk, Ghost Town, Camp Snoopy and the Fiesta Village. Except all these, there is a marketplace including the Knott's Chicken Dinner Restaurant and various gift shops.

Independence Hall
Independence Hall is located in Philadelphia and are famous for the Knott's blueprints. Visiting there is so inspiring, exciting and also enjoyable. It includes a replica of the Liberty Bell and "Star Spangled Banner," the flag flew over Fort McHenry during the War(1812). There recalls a debate for the declaration of independence. In the north, there is an artificial lake,Camp Snoopy, featuring the row and paddle-boats, and ducks moved to other parks and lakes. You must get tickets early during the day at the Independence Mall Visitors Center. You must proceed through the Liberty Bell Center and then to Independence Hall. This short trip will inspire you and remind you the formation of our nation.

Indian Trails
Indian Trails is a collection of American art, crafts, and dance. It covers a small area sandwiched in between Camp Snoopy, Ghost Town, and Fiesta Village.

Ghost Town
The oldest part of this park is Ghost Town including various attractions like the narrow gauge Ghost Town, Calico Railway, the Butterfield Stagecoach, a Pan-for-Gold attraction, the Calico Mine Train dark ride, Timber Mountain Log Ride, and The Wild West Stunt Show. Recently, the wooden roller coaster GhostRider has been added. Ghost Town has some historical place, The Bird Cage Theatre has given rise to various acting careers, including Steve Martin's.

Fiesta Village
There is Latin-themed area, named Fiesta Village, to visit including various carnival-style attractions, the Montezooma's Revenge roller coaster and the Jaguar, a family roller coaster.

The Boardwalk
The Boardwalk is themed as a gypsy camp, known for its major thrill rides, like Xcelerator, Supreme Scream, and Perilous Plunge. Other rides include the roller coaster Boomerang, the Sky Cabin Tower, the Parachute Sky Jump. Supreme Scream is at 312 feet in height(the tallest structure in Orange County).

Camp Snoopy
Those who want some thrilled and adventurous rides must visit Camp Snoopy. Camp Snoopy was developed in Minnesota's Mall of America. It was themed after the Peanuts gang. The Camp Snoopy Bus first lifts into the air, and then it circles forwards and then round and round and then backwards. Snoopy's Bounce House, Snoopy's Great Skate ride, Red Baron kiddie airplane ride, Woodstock's airmail ride , High Sierra Ferris Wheel, Timberline Twister ride, Flying Ace Balloon Race ride, The Walter K Steamboat, The Grand Sierra Scenic Railroad, The Log Peeler, The River Racers, The Charlie Brown Speedway are the major attractions of the park. Here you can also purchase adorable, Peanuts-themed toys, clothing, and housewares.

Wild Water Wilderness
Those who want to enjoy rafting must visit Wild Water Wilderness, is a small area featuring the Big Foot Rapids river raft ride, enjoying plenty of tall, shady trees and catch glimpses of the roaring river. The other attraction of the park is Wilderness Scrambler Ride, the western-themed Ghost Town. It gives you the chance to scream and enjoy the ride. "Mystery Lodge" is a tribute to Native American story telling. There you enjoy the combination of music, visuals, and lighting forming an interesting family show.

Annual park events
Since 1973, the special ticketed event, is organized. The entire park re themes into a "haunted house" in the form of "mazes" and "scare zones" in the evening. The events such as the Timber Mountain Log Ride and Calico Mine Train and number of various themes from aliens to spiders to clowns from outer-space are decorated. There is especially Christmas event is organized featuring artificial snow, handcrafts exhibitions, and a visit with Santa Claus.

Funny, you state Knott's is the oldest Theme Park in Southern CA and it opened in 1968....How do you classify Disneyland which opened in 1955?
