Forest History Center

Forset History center is situated in Grand Rapids MN. Here you can enjoy logging camp, camp blacksmith, clerk, cook, saw filer, lumberjacks, wanigan(floating cook shack) and more. There is also a 1930s Minnesota Forest Service patrolman's cabin where you can sit and lookout the tower.

You can also enjoy self guided walk along the forst trails viewing exhibits multimedia theater shows, history of the forest and the forst fires show. You can also organize your meetings, family picnics, events etc on rent at the Forest History Center. The visiting hours are from wednesday to Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm; and on Sunday noon to 5 p.m. You can contact them at 218-327-4482 and email at foresthistory at mnhs.org

You can also visit their website for getting more details about the FHC. The entry fees may vary for different age groups and free of cost for under age 6 and also vary for various events.
